We Proudly Present Our
"Top Of The Line!" Custom Case

Looks sort of like any other high quality road case, right? Uh, look closer... Engineered to meet ATA 300 specifications, this case is built like a tank. That simple. It features a fully recessed latch system, stainless steel hinging, deep tongue-and-groove closure, 1" padding all around, plated steel ball corners, plus handles on both ends and the middle. And even though it's very tough, it's no heavier than comparable custom cases built with less strength and features. And it's cost is very competitive.

This is the highest grade most bulletproof heavy duty custom keyboard case we've ever seen. Everything about this case screams quality and toughness. Check out these features:

The side panels are made of an incredibly tough lightweight polypropylene tri-laminate. This material is designed to have the strength of ABS-clad plywood, yet with 45% less weight than plywood.
A full 1" thick foam interior lining on all sides.
All case edges and angles are made from extruded aluminum 6063 alloy grade, and heat treated to T-6.
Exceptionally deep tongue-and-groove closure; extruded aluminum 6063 alloy grade, heat treated to T-5.
Case lid is hinged by a stainless steel continuous piano hinge and is riveted through double-walled valance every two inches (see below view).
This case uses 14 gauge plated steel ball corners.
All latches are recessed, plated steel, positive action butterfly twist style. Hook spans tongue-and-groove to eliminate dust and moisture.
Handles are recessed, plated steel, spring loaded 3/4" diameter rubber grip sleeves, located at both ends and in the middle of the opening edge.
All rivets are machine-driven, plated steel, spaced a maximum of 3" apart.

Note the stainless steel piano hinge in the detail picture at right. This solid hinge runs the length of the case and is machine riveted through the double wall valance every two inches using plated steel rivets. Plated steel ball corners and handles too. Solid as a rock!

For heavier keyboards, we offer a variation of this fine case that has wheels (see below, and also see the XK-3 case pictured at the top of this page). Heavier keyboards place more stress on a road case than do lighter keyboards. All the more reason to select a serious professional case such as this. And adding wheels to the case makes heavier keyboards a lot easier to deal with.

The heavy duty wheels seen above are augmented with heavy duty feet (top of case side) which allow the case to stand on end.
